The Early Stages evaluation centers will be closed from March 16-April 24 to follow the DCPS modified schedule in place to help prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). However, our staff are still available, and we will continue our regular work with children and families as much as possible until we fully reopen on April 27. Evaluation Coordinator

The Evaluation Coordinator is responsible for accurately assessing a child’s needs after s/he is referred to Early Stages through the administration of the appropriate screenings and educational assessments. The Coordinator functions as part of a multi-disciplinary team that collaborates to determine eligibility for special education services and is responsible for leading the team’s collaboration and composing Individual Education Programs for children with special needs. The Evaluation Coordinator position requires a Master’s in Special Education and an OSSE Special Education Teacher Certification. If you are a certified special education teacher in another state, we can help you with the teaching certificate reciprocity process.
